School library re-design at Wakefield Girls’ High School. Three study areas transformed into one multi use space. Rooflights added to flood the area with natural light. The school library roof trusses were exposed and sand blasted. Wrought iron columns stripped of layers of paint and brought back to life. The school library re-design also included a multi coloured glazed wall. Adding a splash of coloured light to the school library. Mobile shelving and furniture allow the space to be multi use.
