During the summer of 2016, Innsight Design undertook a major refurbishment of the School library at Wakefield Girls’ High School. Three existing study areas were transformed into one multi functional space. Rooflights were added to flood the area with natural light. Existing roof trusses were exposed and sand blasted. Wrought iron columns were stripped of layers of paint and brought back to life. A multi coloured glazed wall adds a splash of coloured light. Mobile shelving and furniture allow the space to be multi functional. Innsight Design created a modern and contemporary space at the heart of the School.
